We’re looking for a talented and experienced WordPress Developer to join our team. Your role will be to support dedicated professionals by helping to design, develop, and maintain WordPress-based websites and applications. You will work closely with our clients, project managers, and designers to create visually appealing and functional websites that meet their specific needs. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for creating innovative web solutions using WordPress.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, and designers to understand project requirements and translate them into functional WordPress websites and applications.
- Design and develop custom WordPress themes, plugins, and extensions, ensuring a seamless integration with existing systems and third-party services.
- Customize existing WordPress themes and templates to meet client's branding and design requirements.
- Optimize website performance, ensuring fast load times and smooth user experience across various devices and browsers.
- Implement and maintain responsive design principles to ensure websites are mobile-friendly and accessible.
- Perform regular website maintenance tasks, including updates, backups, and security checks.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues related to WordPress functionality, plugins, and themes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress trends, technologies, and best practices, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven work experience as a WordPress Developer, showcasing a strong portfolio of WordPress projects.
- Expertise in WordPress CMS, including theme and plugin development, customization, and administration.
- Proficient in web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery, PHP, and MySQL.
- Experience with responsive and mobile-first design principles.
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks/libraries such as Bootstrap or Foundation.
- Understanding of SEO principles and best practices for WordPress.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients.
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience with e-commerce platforms and plugins for WordPress, such as WooCommerce and Shopify.
- Knowledge of web security best practices and experience implementing security measures for WordPress websites.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Understanding of UI/UX design principles and user-centered design methodologies.
- Familiarity with other content management systems (CMS) and web frameworks.
