OpenSail is Saskatchewan’s fastest growing digital marketing agency. We are both socially-savvy and technical proficient, and we combine those two talents to achieve amazing results for our clients.
We’ve recently created a new position on our team. We’re hoping to find an associate strategist looking to make a career for themselves in digital marketing.
As an associate, your job will be to support one of our senior strategists. You will get to learn how we devise and implement results-driven digital marketing strategies for our client. This is the perfect role for someone who is excited about digital marketing, but doesn’t yet have the experience and confidence to develop and implement digital strategies on their own.
It is a big job, and it has a lot of moving parts. From telling a company’s story on social media to measuring their marketing funnel’s KPIs, to every little thing in between. But, don't worry, you won't be alone! You will be joining our team of digital marketing professionals and we work in a highly collaborative environment. Each member of our team brings unique talents, knowledge, and skill-sets to the table, and you will gain access to our pooled knowledge. Our industry is always changing, so you don't have to know everything, but you have to know how to Google anything and be willing to learn and adapt to change on a daily basis.
There are some core skills required to succeed in digital marketing.
Very high computer literacy.
Excellent command of oral and written English, including grammar.
You need to be using one or more social media platforms regularly and have a very good understanding of how it works, both technically and socially.
Conscientious work ethic. We’ll teach you how to do awesome things, but it’s up to you to implement those skills, and to get everything completed, even the boring stuff.
Creative problem-solving skills. This job can be very challenging, and you need to go beyond merely following directions, and instead find novel and creative solutions to problems that haven’t been solved yet.
A dedication to excellence.
If you have experience in any of these you might be just the person we are searching for.
